Change the colors in your windows theme via control panel>Appearance>Personalization>Window Color. The colors that affect the address bar are the 'Window' colors, so the background will match the window background color and the font color will match the text color. After you've changed the windows settings, you have to close chrome and reopen. When you click a hyperlink in a browser such as Google Chrome, the color of the link changes. The color depends on the settings of the person who created the page. Different colors for clicked and unvisited hyperlinks make it easier to see at a glance which pages you have already viewed.
Hi all, Can anyone point me in the right direction of changing the stark white background color of the Chrome tab bar? I'm not sure if it's a Windows function or a Chrome function but in Windows 7 I believe it was Windows. I'm so used to it being either transparent or at the very least borrowing from my current background color as it did in Windows 7 but there seems no way to change it in Windows 10. If I'm not mistaken, such a change wouldn't/shouldn't require a separate Chrome theme but is rather a simple setting that I'm just unable to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Computer Type: PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number: Hyper-V Virtual Machine OS: Windows 10 Insider Build - Fast Ring CPU: 8 Virtual Processors(8 threads) Motherboard: N/A Memory: 8192 MB - Dynamic Memory turned on Screen Resolution: Being a VM, it depends what size I need at a given moment;) Hard Drives: VM is on a separate internal SSD(Samsung 850 EVO SSD) Browser: Edge, chrome Antivirus: Defender Other Info: Secure Boot enabled, All Integration Services are turned on, Enhanced Session Mode selected.

Hi all, thanks for response:) I think perhaps this might be the default in Windows 7 though? As my Win 7 computer at work appears to borrow the desktop color for the 'background tab bar' color. On Chrome and other programs. I guess I thought there would be a function in Windows 10 that would behave similarly versus just defaulting to the stark white background. I'm certainly not opposed to exploring themes however I can't help but to think it's only a simple tweak either in Chrome or in Windows 10.
